Favourite Film Genre

What's a genre? A genre is simply a categorization of certain types of art based upon their style, form, or content. Most movies can easily be described with certain umbrella terms, such as Westerns, dramas, or comedies. Of course, some films defy such ready qualification, so realize that these are generalizations.

What is your favourite genre? Please, give arguments for your choice. You may also give some examples of films you really enjoyed, to illustrate your preference.

Some of my favourite action movies: Die Hard series, The One, War, Danny the Dog, Cradle 2 the Grave, Romeo must die, Kiss of the Dragon ( Jet Li is a great actor), and history movies: Troia, Alexander the Great, Gladiator, King Arthur, Kingdom of Heaven, and LoTR( i don' t know if this one is in the history genre).

I like comedies because they make me laught ,but i also enjoy drama , history, and thriller.My favourite movie is the thrilogy "The Bourne" .Other movies that I enjoyed are "Chaos" ,"300","The guardian" ,"Blood Diamond" , "Alexander" and "Troy".My favourite actors are Kevin Costner, Will Smith , Matt Damon, Dominic Purcell, Wentworth Miller and Angelina Jolie.

I like watching horror movies.I like them because some scenes can literaly take your breath away.I'm not scared even a bit, i'm kind of relaxed watching a good movie.My favorite horror movie is The Grudge, but i also like Saw and Red Rose.
